“The Time Traveler’s Wife” is an amazing movie mixed somewhere between drama and fantasy. The movie is based on the book The Time Traveler’s Wife written by Audrey Niffeneger. In the movie a man named Henry DeTamble, played by the actor Eric Bana (Funny People, Star Trek, The Other Boleyn Girl), learns at a young age, that completely at random, he will find himself either in the past or the future of his life. There is no telling where he is going, or when he will return; it all just happens.
Henry, a depressed man in his twenties, meets a girl in the library named Clare Abshire, played by Rachel McAdams (The Notebook, Mean Girls, The Family Stone), who will change his life as he knows it. Saying she has known Henry for a long time, ever since she was a little girl, the stranger interests him and he agrees to have dinner with her. That is the start of the story of their lives together dealing with the magic of him being a time traveler, and their struggles of making their unusual lives fit in with the real world.
The couple find themselves facing many problems together in their lifetime. From things like missing holidays, having a baby, and finding the perfect house, to outrunning angry mobs and dealing with death and grief. Katie Farden and Danielle Jones both say “I have not seen the movie yet, but I really want to.” Katie emphasized on the fact that she loves Rachel McAdams, and all the movies she has been in.
For people who love dramas, and romantic movies The Time Traveler’s Wife will be one you will surely love.
