In 30 Mintues or Less, Ruben Fleischer’s new movie, a normal pizza delivery boy was unwillingly turned into a bank robber in a matter of minutes. Actor Jesse Eisenberg (Nick) was just a regular pizza boy who, when making a delivery, was jumped by two arsonists, and had a bomb strapped to his chest. His first idea was to go to his best friend’s work place, which happened to be an elementary school. Nick and his friend planned on robbing money from the local bank in order to get the bomb off of his chest. They bought fake guns, spray paint, and ski masks and they decided to rob the bank. They successfully got the money and while they were making the trade to get the bomb off, things took a hilarious turn for the worse.
Students in our own high school found the movie to be high-quality. “I felt the movie was hilarious and well done, also unpredictable at times,” said senior Kea Olaso. Jesse Eisenberg is known to take on hilarious roles that push the audience to pee their pants. “I want to see that movie so bad, it looks so funny,” said senior Logan Fornes. “I thought it was funny. I loved Jesse Eisenberg’s character,” said senior Mahina Kahalewale. 30 Minutes or Less is an hour and twenty three minutes of crude jokes and sexual content, but still maintains a comical feel to keep the film light.
The director, Ruben Fleischer has directed several popular movies and shows, such as Rob & Big, Fantasy Factory, and Zombieland. His newest work, 30 Minutes or Less is a thrilling movie that audiences around the world can enjoy.
