The Art 3 and A.P. art classes have been working with some exotic materials lately. In the middle of the month of September our high school art teacher, Ms. Devitt, had a crazy brilliant idea. Her idea was to take a dead octopus and print it on different types of surfaces.
Some of the surfaces that the art students decided to put their octopus on were cardboard, plexi glass, chip board, wood, and just a plain canvas. It was a struggle as the whole Art 3 class had to work together to place the octopus on the surface just right. Each Art 3 and A.P. art student chose the surface they wanted to work on and how they wanted the octopus to be put on the surface.
The octopus assignment is to take the song “Octopus’s Garden”, a portrait and incorporate the song into your art work.
The Art 3 and A.P. Art students have just finished the Octopus projects. So go check them out they are in Ms. Devitt’s room, 308.
