To say that Le Jardin Academy’s 2010 Winterball was a success would be considered a wide understatement. The night was carried out with many fun filled activities which included dancing, good grinds, and even picture taking with a vintage, maroon Cadillac (thanks to Mr. Weisberger).
New student Lauren Kern enjoyed “the decorations and being able to meet new people” while others such as Kelly McInally liked “the food and the chocolate fountain”. The night itself seemed dreamlike as the Wang auditorium underwent a Cinderella-esque transformation from its everyday lunchroom façade, to an almost unrecognizable mini dance hall complete with lovely décor and light social atmosphere. In this sense, students seemed to relinquish any of their self-conscious dancing fears to render themselves helpless to the beat of the music. Even Mr. Allan seemed to get “jiggy with it”. But all-good things must come to an end, and the night ended with one last slow song and memories that would surely last for the rest of the year.
